CIVICS COURSES
UITE will be offering select Instructional Coaching courses for Spring 2025!
The Urban Institute for Teacher Education (UITE) in conjunction with Granite School District (GSD) will be offering select Instructional Coaching courses to GSD teachers that have met GSD requirements. Participants do not need to be a current University of Utah student to enroll.
To register, please click on the course that you want to enroll in below. Students will receive an email confirming registration once the process is completed. Participants can request a transcript once courses are complete and grades have been posted for any USBE licensure or GSD requirements. Students select each link and complete the registration form for each class to enroll. Registration for one class does not register you for both.
Please note, when registering for these classes, only submit your registration once per class. Submitting multiple times per class will result in multiple credit card charges that do take time to reverse. You will receive an initial email within 30 minutes of submitting your registration form for each class informing you that your registration was received. If you do not receive that email, please contact Ms. Kristen Lindsay, kristen.lindsay@utah.edu.

Duo 2FA is the University's two factor authentication protocol that all students, staff and faculty must comply with to access various University systems including CIS. You should be prompted to complete the registration process when you log into CIS for the first time. If you run into any issues in this process, please reach out to the University's Help Desk and specifically mention that you need assistance in getting Duo 2FA set up.

University Connected Learning (UCL) handles the financial side of course registration. Once you have paid for your course, please allow 72 hours before requesting a payment receipt to ensure that the process is completed fully through the credit card transaction as well as the University Enrollment process.
Once that period has passed, please contact UCL, contracts@continue.utah.edu. In your email please include the following information in your email to UCL to help process the request faster:
Course Number (i.e. EDU 6950-034)
Course Name (i.e. Digital Literacy)
Course semester (Summer 2024)
Unid (if you are a first-time registrant and never been admitted to the University at any point in your academic career you may skip this.)
Your name
Course grades are available a few weeks after the semester is over to allow for final assignment grading and calculation. Please see the table below, for the date your grades will be available.

To receive your unofficial transcripts for your courses, please follow the directions below. If your grades are not appearing on your unofficial transcript, please reach out to: kristen.lindsay@utah.edu.
- On your CIS homepage, click on the Student Homepage.
- Click on the Academic Records tile.
- Click on View Unofficial Transcript, Then click submit. Then click refresh after a few minutes until your unofficial transcript shows up.
Note that for the last step, you may need to click refresh a couple of times as it’s not an automatic refresh and it can take a couple of minutes for it to pull up. The University's Registrar’s office also has directions here: https://registrar.utah.edu/transcripts/transcript-unofficial.php
Each semester you take classes you will need to complete these steps as a previously generated unofficial transcript is not automatically updated.
If you need a copy of your official transcripts, please complete the request at this website: https://registrar.utah.edu/transcripts/order-transcript.php.
Note that you will need your unid (the number you use to log into CIS) and pay the fee. For electronic transcripts, the fee is $13. If you have it delivered via mail there will be an additional fee.
