 We warmly invite you to attend a lecture presentation about adolescent bullying and school-based prevention. Dorothy L. Espelage, Ph.D., is Professor of Psychology at the University of Florida. She is the recipient of the APA Lifetime Achievement Award in Prevention Science and the 2016 APA Award for Distinguished Contributions to Research in Public Policy, and is a Fellow of APS, APA, and AERA. She earned her Ph.D. in Counseling Psychology from Indiana University in 1997. Over the last 20 years, she has authored over 140 peer reviewed articles, five edited books, and 30 chapters on bullying, homophobic teasing, sexual harassment, dating violence, and gang violence. Her research focuses on translating empirical findings into prevention and intervention programming and she has secured six and half million dollars of external funding.

Her two-hour lecture for University faculty, staff, and students will begin at 5:00 p.m. on September 20, 2017 in The College of Education Auditorium, (SAEC 1151). Also, Dr. Espelage will present a two-hour workshop for in-service teachers that will begin at 6:30 p.m. on September 19, 2017 in the Eccles Auditorium (CTIHB 109).
